The Boys’ Brigade is Britain’s
biggest Christian Youth Organisation. It has been
in existence for more than 110 years, but is very much about serving
today’s generation.
Leven Parish Church has a large and thriving Company. There are 4
sections, the Anchor Boys, the Junior Section, the Company Section and the
Seniors.
The Company Section boys went
to watch Scotland
play in the World Cup Qualifiers in both September and October. Visiting
speakers for this year include representatives from Levenmouth Diving Club,
the Crime Scene Investigation Unit, RNLI and the Drug and Alcohol Project
among others.
It is once again hoped to
have a weekend away at Teen Ranch in Perthshire in
the spring – this time trying to avoid the one weekend of heavy snow
that we get every couple of years.
Other recent activities
have included fencing, kayaking and scuba diving.
All groups meet on a Tuesday evening in
the church halls. For more
information, contact the Church Office.
